The R66T Academy and the Cricket Society Trust were honoured to be in attendance at Lords this week for the announcement of the Stokes Knight State School Cricket League run by the MCC Foundation in partnership with Barclays and the Black Heart Foundation.
We are delighted to say that the long running R66T Under 15 State School League, annually organised by The Cricket Society Trust and covering the counties of Middlesex, Yorkshire, Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire, will provide regional qualifiers into the Stokes Knight League. Both the R66T Academy and The Cricket Society Trust look forward to working with the MCC Foundation and the MCC on developing this exciting new initiative to further build on the work of the CST and the R66T Academy in raising the visibility of state school cricket in these counties and now on a nationwide level.
Commenting on the announcement, Nick Gaywood, R66T Academy Project Manager said ‘This is a fantastic opportunity for young people nationwide to take part in state school cricket, hopefully it can inspire future generations and we look forward to working with the Cricket Society Trust and the MCC and their partners to deliver this amazing project’.
The R66T Academy would like to thank the Cricket Society Trust for its continued support and dedication to state school cricket and would like to congratulate its trustees on their work in making the R66T State School League the success that it is.
Here’s to much more in 2026!
