A spotlight on our High Performance Cricket Program Graduates USA
Over the years, we have seen many players graduate from the High Performance Program in Adelaide, Australia. This comes with strong commitment to the game, hardwork, and ambition to go the extra mile within their skills and abilities. During the program, we have had graduates from all over the world complete the program, but there are a few who have stood out to us the past few weeks. With the ongoing struggles of cricket in the USA, players have travelled to the program to find a way in the game, challenging their cricket outside of their hometown to train alongside Joe Root's former Coach and High Performance Director, Shaun Seigert. These players show true commitment to the sport, travelling from the USA to Australia to push their skills to the next level. Let's take a look at their acheivements after the program...
Saideep Ganesh- San Francisco Unicorns MLC, USA Mens Team
Saideep a keeper/batsman has trained in the program twice, most recently in Jan 26 to prepare for MLC. Upon his return the first time he was selected in the USA Mens Team.
Tahaa Warraich – Empire State Titans MiLC
Tahaa a batter from New York graduated from the program in January 2021, despite the struggles during Covid, he persevered through the course resulting in him making the Empire State Titans MiLC.
Satvik Addala- New York City Titans MiLC
An aggressive top order batsman playing for the NYC Titans the Minor Leagues in USA.
Saharsh Swethan- North Carolina, USA U/19s
Saharsh a keeper/batsman really developed and upon his return became a key batter in the US U19 team dominating in the West Undies U19 Championships.
Ritvik Appidi- North Carolina, USA U19s World Cup
Ritvik a right arm fast bowlers rise has been rapid. From being in the US top 30 U19 players his development he was the number 1 fast bowler in the ICC U19 World Cup. In his first game a made a name for himself bowling Vaibhav Sooryavanshi cheaply in the first game.
Arjun Sharma- North Carolina
A talented batsman and leg spinner developed a lot as a young 15 year old in the season in Adelaide.
Raghav Sateesh- USA U19 West Zone
Raghav is a left hand opening batsmen and also bowls leg spin.
Saif Samaroo- New York, Guyana
Saif is a right arm quick, batsman. Upon his return from the Academy he went and played cricket in Guyana.
Rehan Behera- New Jersey
Rehan a leg spin/batter worked hard on his game in the Root Academy program developing his variations and control.
Vihaan Mehta-New Jersey
Vihaan a pace bowler/batsman impressed greatly in the Academy. He was invited to train with the South Australian U17 State Team when at the academy. Upon his return he hade his first ever century, a 160 against US U19 bowler Ritvik Appidi.
Tarak Kukatla- Baltimore
Tarak improved a lot in the program in terms of how to go about being a high performance cricketer.
Aarav Patel- New Jersey
Aarav a keeper/batsman impressed greatly as a 15 year old. He developed greatly in the program and played against former First Class bowler Nick Benton in A1 cricket.
Advait Patel- New Jersey
Advait attended the program as a 14 year old and learnt a lot as a player developing his game intelligence which will hold him in good stead as he gets stronger.
Raghav Lakshman- New Jersey
Raghav a fast bowler/batsman worked hard on his bowling developing strength and how to bowl to high level men. His batting developed as well putting together some big scores.
Aryan Patel- New Jersey
Aryan worked hard on his fitness as well as putting together an innings and not just rely on strength, which is a key against better players.
