The R66T Academy is thrilled to announce it has agreed a deal to become the official Global Sponsor for the 2024 United States Youth Premier League (USYPL) Tournament - marking the second consecutive year of sponsorship. 

 

Our mission is to provide cricketing opportunities for players around the world to play and enjoy cricket, regardless of their gender, age, race or ability. By once again becoming the Global Sponsor of the USYPL, it cements The R66T Academy's focus and intention to provide opportunities for players in the United States. 

 

The second edition of USYPL - a competition for youth cricketers in USA & Canada - will run from June 25 to June 28, 2024, with more than 200 players travelling to Wasignton D.C to take part in the competition and over 500 spectators expected to attend. 

 

Much like the inaugural tournament, this year’s USYPL will be split into two age groups of U15 and U19 players. Each league consists of four franchise teams with players competing from across the US. 

 

Players are categorised into three different groups; Platinum, Gold or Silver, with the platinum players featuring in every game scheduled by his or her respective franchise. However, teams are able to change players in the other respective categories. 

 

This year’s Player Draft will take place on April 20 at the state-of-the-art Olympic Indoor Sports Columbia, Maryland. 

 

The USYPL, which was the first national youth franchise league to take place in the US, adheres to the United States Cricket (USAC) rules and regulations in allocating teams. The tournament has already generated significant interest from young cricketers across the United States.

Earlier this year, we launched The Olympic R66T Academy - our first-ever full-time Academy. Training focuses on developing players’ skills, physicality, tactical understanding and mental strength, with the ultimate goal of improving their all-round ability on the pitch. 

 

The Baltimore High Performance Program, meanwhile, is our elite training programme for players looking to take the next step in their cricketing career, based on our High Performance Program in Adelaide, Australia.
